Fishing Port – Sultanate of Oman – October 2021

At the end of 2021, we carried out a high-resolution bathymetric survey and the complete 3D modeling of a dike in the Sultanate of Oman. This seawall composed of 32,000 Core-Loc™ blocks ranging from 1 to 6m3 protects a new industrial fishing port developed on the country’s Indian Ocean coast.

This seawall composed of 32,000 Core-Loc™ blocks ranging from 1 to 6m3 protects a new industrial fishing port developed on the country’s Indian Ocean coast. Our team of experts installed the survey boom on a vessel provided by the client and completed the data acquisition in 3 days. We also supervised the drone photogrammetric survey performed by a local surveying company. The 3D model was then completed upon return to the office in three weeks.

This digital twin of the structure allowed the design office in charge of certifying the installation of the blocks to accept the structure built by a local public works company.
