M24 Project, New Coastal Road
We took part in the M24 project for the New Coastal Road in La Possession, working on the 100-metre extension of the 4m³ Xbloc breakwater under contract MT2. This project, carried out by the RAZEL-BEC / PICO consortium (ETPO Group) for the Réunion Region, was managed by SYNERGIE (EGIS as lead engineering consultant).
A specific requirement of the contract was real-time 3D placement monitoring. To meet this need, we designed an instrumented lifting beam fitted with a positioning and block detection system, installed directly on the crane. This device enables high-frequency digitisation, with an update latency of less than 50 milliseconds and calculation of placement filters every second.
The resulting 3D model is accessible in real time from the crane, the control cabin and an online platform, and can be viewed by all site teams. It is then overlaid onto a photogrammetric survey carried out during post-processing to ensure optimal quality control.
This project marks our first operational feedback on real-time digitisation, with a significant improvement in placement control and progress monitoring.
