For the construction by an international dredging and maritime works company of an artificial island protected by a single concrete armour layer, we provided our SEABIM Editor software, which allows the company to monitor the quality of block placement as the project progresses, in order to avoid future unpacking and reassembly that may be requested by the designer.

The automatic block detection in the point cloud by the Block Finder module enables the operator to model the newly placed sections in a reduced time, assisting the site team in making quick decisions and ensuring validation.

For this project, we conducted training on-site for the survey teams on the use of the software and the methods for scanning rubble-mound breakwaters.
